Description of mountain:
The Schneealpenhaus mountain hut is located just a few meters below the 1788-meter-high Schauerkogel peak, on which a cross stands and from which a beautiful view opens onto the highest peak of the Schneealpe mountain group, part of the Mürztaler Alpen range.
Just a little lower than the hut stands a chapel built in memory of mountaineers who met with accidents.
