Špik nad Zadnjo Polico (Pleče)

Description of mountain:
Špik nad Zadnjo Polico (also Pleče) is a 2,680 m high peak situated in the ridge of the Poliški Špiki, or Montaž group. From the main peak Montaž/Poliški Špik, it lies northwest above the Zajzera valley to the north and the Dunja valley to the west. Some of the deepest walls in the Julian Alps drop down toward the valleys. Access to the summit is possible via the Kugy path to Montaž (Zajzera direction) or an alpinistic ascent from the Dunja valley.
