Straža (otok Ist)

Description of mountain:
Straža is the highest peak on the island of Ist. At the summit there is a geodetic pillar. Approximately 50 meters to the southeast stands a masonry church of Our Lady of Health, built in 1865. On the wall below the church there is an HPO stamp, and next to it is an information board. From the top there is a beautiful view of the sea, the Zadar archipelago and part of Velebit, with the elongated island of Pag below. To the north and west the view opens towards Rab and Lošinj and the islands of Ilovik, Olib, Silba and Premuda. To the south the islands of Ugljan, Sestrunj, Molat and Dugi otok are visible.
