Description of lake:
Lake in Ledvice, or Veliko jezero, also known as Ledvička, is the largest of all Triglav Lakes. The lake has the shape of a kidney, as does the rock at its edge. The lake is the purest of all Slovenian high mountain lakes. It is about 300 m long and up to 17 m deep. From the lake there is a beautiful view over the scree fields above the lake and the mountains above the screes. The surroundings at the lake itself are also very beautiful.
Swimming in the lake, as well as in all other Slovenian high mountain lakes, is prohibited.
