Description of mountain:
Torkofel is the highest peak of the panoramic Jauken ridge, which extends north of the Gailtal valley. From the summit cross, there is a nice view along much of the ridge, which continues eastward toward the mighty Reißkofel, partly obscured by the Jauken ridge. On clear days, the panorama stretches from the Julian and Carnic Alps, across the Lienzer Dolomites, to the High Tauern.
