Description of mountain hut:
The Ütia de Gran Fanes hut (German: Grossfanes Hütte) is located at 2,102 meters on the Malga Gran Fanes pasture. From the pasture, where livestock grazes in summer, there is a superb view of the nearby peaks. A small stream flows across the pasture, beside which lies a pond. The pasture was also an important point during World War I.
