From today until Sunday evening, Slovenia will be under the influence of a strong southwesterly wind bringing very humid air. As usual in such situations, the heaviest rain will fall on the mountain barriers of western Slovenia.
By Sunday evening, more than 200 liters of precipitation per square meter may fall in the Posočje region. Due to abundant precipitation and snowmelt, all alpine rivers will rise significantly. The risk of landslides will also increase.
