From this evening until Thursday, more than 1m of snow may fall in the western Julian Alps, so the avalanche danger will increase rapidly. Elsewhere there will be less precipitation, but avalanche danger will increase everywhere. The snow line will mostly be between 1000 and 1400m, only in alpine valleys it may snow down to the lowlands.
We advise against visiting the high mountains for the time being.
