Accident during descent from Triglav

Police in the Julian Alps handled the death of a mountaineer. The circumstances indicate a mountain accident - fatal was the fall into the abyss.



The mountaineer, who was returning from Triglav towards Kredarica around noon today, died at the scene. A military helicopter transported him from the mountain, as reported by the Kranj Police Administration.



The man was using winter gear for movement in the mountains, and death is according to police very likely the result of a severe fall into the depths from a very demanding path on or into the Snežna konta below Mali Triglav.
