At 15:05, a foreign mountaineer suffered a fatal accident on Kanin below the Petra Skalar mountain hut, municipality of Bovec. Due to thick fog, the on-duty GRS team with the SV helicopter could not approach the site of the mountaineer's fall. The rescue operation was continued by the GRS Bovec rescuers in the classical way. The rescuers transported the deceased mountaineer to the A station of the Kanin cable car, where the on-duty doctor from ZD Tolmin confirmed the mountaineer's death.
