This morning a group of five hikers set out along Hanzova pot to the 2547m high Prisank (Prisojnik). While the group was crossing the snowfield below Hudičev steber, snow collapsed under one member, burying two hikers. The 41-year-old Slovenian hiker succumbed to his injuries, the other was injured and was transported to the Jesenice hospital with the help of GRS Kranjska Gora rescuers and a Slovenian police helicopter.
This is already the second fatal victim this year on Prisank.
Recall that at the end of August a Polish female hiker died while descending the "easiest" so-called southern path.
