Accident on the path to Vodnikov dom

Today at 14:51, during the ascent from Voj towards Vodnikov dom in the municipality of Bohinj, three Danish hikers missed the marked path and strayed into an impassable area. One of the hikers slipped into the depths and died at the scene due to severe injuries. Mountain rescuers from GRS Bohinj with the on-duty team from GRS at Brnik transported the body of the deceased with a helicopter of the Slovenian Army to the valley, where it was taken over by the funeral service. The other two hikers were transported unharmed to the valley.
