Accident on Virnikov Grintovec

Yesterday at 15:56, two hunters were reported missing in the area of Virnikov Grintovec in the municipality of Jezersko. A search operation was launched involving 16 rescuers from the Jezersko GRS Station and a police officer. Mountain rescuers found the first hunter at 17:15, the second at 17:45, both dead, on the eastern wall of Virnikov Grintovec at an elevation of 1300 meters. It is presumed that they slipped down up to 80 meters deep. The deceased hunters were carried by mountain rescuers to the former guardhouse in Jezersko, where they were handed over to the funeral service. The rescue operation was concluded at 22:30.
