Almost 1 meter of snow remains at Kredarica

At Kredarica there was still 95 cm of snow at the ARSO meteorological station at 8 a.m. today. Some snow, especially in gullies, is still present in the mid-mountains. Full winter gear is still required for safe visits to the high mountains.

In the Julian Alps there will also be showers or thunderstorms during the day and afternoon, elsewhere mostly sunny and dry. Mostly moderate winds blowing, in the high mountains strong south to southwest winds in the morning and forenoon. Temperature at 1500 m around 11, at 2500 m around 5 degrees C.
Tomorrow morning mostly sunny, midday and afternoon variable cloudiness, especially in the Julian Alps and Karawanks afternoon showers or thunderstorms will form. Mostly light southwest winds. Temperature at 1500 m around 13, at 2500 m around 6 degrees C.
On Sunday it will become cloudy during the day, especially in the afternoon local showers and isolated thunderstorms will appear.
