Tents set up in base camp
Today around 14:00 Slovenian time, the guys finally arrived at base camp. Tents are pitched in a “fairy-tale place” and the ambience is “crazy”. First impressions in BC seem very good, although according to Peter J. the walls are drier than in 2009.
Unexpectedly there are still problems with the cargo, which is supposed to arrive only at the end of the week. According to the latest information, everything got stuck at customs. Given the cargo and customs issues, the plan remains unchanged, so altitude preparations will start tomorrow right away.
Peter J.: “Tomorrow we start with acclimatization.”
