Already 40 cm of snow on Kredarica

By this morning, 40 cm of snow has fallen on Kredarica, and it will continue snowing all day. Snow is also falling in some mid-mountain areas. Conditions in the mountains are wintry.

Today it will be cloudy and foggy with precipitation. The snow line will be between 1000 and 1200 meters in the northern part of the Julian Alps and in the western Karawanks, otherwise around 1500 m above sea level. A moderate northeast wind will blow. Temperature at 1500 m will be from 1 to 3, at 2500 m around -4 degrees C.



Tomorrow it will be partly clear in the western Julian Alps, elsewhere mostly cloudy and locally foggy weather will prevail. In the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, eastern Karawanks and on Pohorje there will be occasional light precipitation, above around 1700 meters as light snow. A moderate to strong north wind will blow. Temperature at 1500 m around 4, at 2500 m around -2 degrees C.
