Avalanche Buried a Backcountry Skier

At 14:24 an avalanche buried a backcountry skier on the south side of Begunjščica in the direction towards Prevala in the municipality of Radovljica. The other skier, with whom they went together on backcountry skiing, managed to save himself and dig out his friend, who however died at the scene due to injuries. Also intervening were rescuers from GRS Radovljica, Tržič and Jesenice and the Slovenian Army helicopter for mountain rescue.
