Avalanche Carried Away Mountaineer

This afternoon an avalanche surprised a group of mountaineers climbing the Slovenian route towards Kranjska koča na Ledinah. The avalanche carried one mountaineer with it and dragged him 50m down. The avalanche did not bury the mountaineer, but he sustained spinal and femoral injuries. GRS Jezersko rescuers transported the injured person to Jesenice hospital with the help of a Slovenian Army helicopter.
