Avalanche danger has increased in the mountains

In the mountains moderate to heavy precipitation occurred. The snow line, initially around 1800 meters, is slowly descending and in the evening it may snow to lowlands in some alpine valleys. In the high mountains of the Julian Alps up to around 30 cm of snow has already fallen, which has bonded relatively well with the ground, but as snowfall will continue overnight, avalanche danger will increase somewhat further.
We advise against visiting high mountains and partly mid-mountains until further notice.
