Bivouacs have new sleeping pads

Members of AO Jesenice, with the assistance of a few good friends, carried out the replacement of sleeping pads in Bivouacs I, II, and III on Thursday, June 2, 2011. Instead of the old, worn-out mattresses, we installed high-quality sleeping foam from the Swiss manufacturer Airex®, whose cushions do not contain phthalates or formaldehydes and bear the Sanitized® label - permanent protection of the cushion against the growth of bacteria and fungi.



Since the costs were considerable and a significant amount of effort and time was invested by the section members, we ask all lovers of our mountain world to treat the bivouacs and their equipment carefully and with a touch of respect for those who maintain these shelters.

We would particularly like to draw attention to the following:

• Wipe up any liquid spillage immediately (…!!),

• Do not cut or damage the pads in any other way,

• Do not approach the pads with fire or hot objects (stoves, pots…).



We are confident that funds for Bivouac IV will also be available soon, and at the same time we hope that our bivouacs will provide shelter and enhance your moments in the mountains for a long time to come. To all who helped us, many thanks.
