We are pleased to announce that on Friday, December 5th, the cable car is reopening its doors to all our visitors. After a successful technical inspection, we invite you this weekend to visit, as the cable car and chairlift will be operating again and are ready to take you amidst the magical views of Velika Planina.
Delights awaiting you at the top
In Gostilna Zeleni rob, the scent of home-cooked meals is already wafting – this weekend they will pamper you with authentic farm platters and of course mountain classics – stews, štruklji, sausage, apple strudel, and other goodies.
Gostilna Zeleni rob is open every day, and on Fridays and Saturdays in December with extended hours until 9 PM.
In the Skodla refreshment hut, warm local snacks and selected drinks await to warm you up after winter outdoor pleasures.
Winter idyll on the plateau
The plateau is draped in a fresh blanket of snow, perfect for:
light winter strolls,
joyful snowball fights,
creating your first snowmen of the season,
and there is enough snow for children's sledding on nearby hillocks.
The winter backdrop is perfect for family outings and pleasant December moments in nature.
Access from Kranjski Rak
In winter, the road from the direction of Kranjski Rak is open and maintained to the Rakove Ravni parking lot, where you can leave your vehicle and continue on foot to the plateau.
