Closed mountain trail and STKP from Jakob towards Pece

The Mežica Mountaineering Association informs that due to forestry works, the mountain trail leading from Jakob to Dom na Peci and the STKP section between karavla and Dom na Peci is CLOSED.

In the Pece area, due to forestry works, several trails are currently CLOSED:
mountain trail from Jakob to Dom na Peci,
Slovenian Mountain Bike Trail on the section between karavla and Dom na Peci, and
tourist path to Matjaževa jama (King Matjaž's cave).

In addition, the Mežica mountaineering association warns of occasional complete closures of the road through Tople valley due to renovation. Detour for cars and mountain bikers is through Koprivna valley and Preval pass.

NOTICE TO MOUNTAIN TRAIL USERS: We recommend that mountain trail users check the actual status of mountain trails in advance on the website stanje-poti.pzs.si, at the nearest mountain hut or local mountaineering association. If you notice damage to mountain trails or their inadequate maintenance (faded markers, overgrowth, etc.), please send a message to poskodbe.poti@pzs.si specifying which mountain trail you noticed the deficiency on, describe the deficiency, and if possible, attach a photo.
