Closed Trail MTB Center Dolga vas-Fridrihštajn

Mountaineering Association Kočevje informs about the closed hiking trail between MTB center Dolga vas near Kočevje and the ruins of Fridrihštajn Castle.

Due to logging and timber extraction, the hiking trail leading from MTB center Dolga vas to the ruins of Fridrihštajn Castle is CLOSED. The trail will be closed approximately until April 30, 2025.

Please strictly observe the trail closure. Walking on the closed trail endangers your health and risks severe, even fatal injuries. Thank you for your understanding.

All other trails to Fridrihštajn are open and normally passable.
NOTICE TO HIKING TRAIL USERS: We recommend that hiking trail users check the current status of hiking trails on the website stanje-poti.pzs.si, at the nearest mountain hut, or with the local mountaineering association beforehand. If you notice damage to hiking trails or their inadequate maintenance (faded markers, overgrowth, etc.), please send a message to poskodbe.poti@pzs.si specifying which hiking trail you observed the deficiency on, describe the deficiency, and if possible, attach a photo.
