Closure of the path Mrzli dol-Križ above Logarska dolina

Major urgent maintenance works will be carried out on the mountain trail.

In accordance with Article 16 of the Mountain Trails Act (Official Gazette of RS, No. 61/2007), the Alpine Association of Slovenia and the Celje Matica Mountaineering Association inform that from 14 to 17 September 2023 the very demanding section of the mountain trail Mrzli dol (1878 m)-Križ (2114 m) will be CLOSED.

We kindly ask you to strictly observe the closure of the mountain trail and not to venture onto it, as this could endanger both your own safety and the safety of the path markers during the action.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: You can ascend to Križ and further to Koroško Rinko from the direction of Ledin or Malih podov. From Logarska dolina, the shortest ascent is via the very demanding mountain trail through Turski žleb.
NOTICE TO USERS OF MOUNTAIN TRAILS: We recommend that users of mountain trails check the actual condition of mountain trails in advance on the website stanje-poti.pzs.si, at the nearest mountain hut or with the local mountaineering association. If you notice damage to mountain trails or their inadequate condition (faded markers, overgrowth, etc.), please send a message to poskodbe.poti@pzs.si specifying which mountain trail you observed the deficiency on, describe the deficiency, and if possible, attach a photo.

Users of mountain trails must act self-responsibly and responsibly towards others when using mountain trails so as not to endanger or injure themselves or others. The user is obliged to use the mountain trail in such a way that no damage is caused on it, on and adjacent to the land through which it passes, on other properties, and to the fauna and flora along it. It is prohibited to restrict access to mountain trails, to damage, remove or destroy markers, signposts, logbooks, safety equipment and other signs, or to use unmarked shortcuts.
