Danger of Slips

Due to prolonged dry weather, the risk of slips is increasing in the mountains. The greatest danger of slipping is on sunny and lower-lying slopes and in high mountains where new snow has been blown down to the old icy base.
In high mountains (especially in the Julian Alps) there is still a level 2 avalanche danger.
