Death of a mountaineer below Kranjska Rinka

Yesterday (on Sunday 4.7.2010) a mountaineer set off into the mountains above Jezersko. Since he did not return by evening, a rescue operation was launched.

Rescuers from GRS Jezersko found the victim today below the cliffs of Kranjska Rinka. Due to severe injuries, the mountaineer died at the scene of the accident. The cause of the accident is still unknown, most likely it was a slip or fall.
