Demanding trail to Nanos repaired and reopened

The demanding, steep hiking trail from Razdrto to Nanos, to Vojkova koča on Nanos, has been restored and the landslide repaired. The trail is therefore reopened.

On the demanding, technically very steep terrain strewn with scree, the trail maintainers of PD Postojna removed and cleaned the old support and rocks. The side supports were placed slightly higher and double-secured in the unfavorable terrain riddled with rocks and loose soil. They also broke up rocks on the trail, making it easier to pass.

Below the trail, they installed a protective net to hold back rocks from falling onto the lower section of the trail. We believe the repair will last for many years and make the path safer.

Nevertheless, we warn all hikers that the steep trail to Nanos is a demanding trail, the danger of falling rocks is always present, so we recommend wearing a helmet!
