Due to adverse weather conditions we DISCOURAGE visits to the mountains

In numerous places across Slovenia, extraordinary conditions prevail due to floods and avalanches, therefore various activities in the mountain world are completely unnecessary. The Alpine Association of Slovenia discourages visiting the mountain world in such conditions.

Emergency services, including the staff of the Mountain Rescue Association of Slovenia, are heavily burdened and are addressing what is urgently needed. Some have even lost their rescue equipment in the flood. The Alpine Association of Slovenia therefore urges everyone to forgo activities in the mountains under the current conditions and not expose yourselves to unnecessary risks, thereby further burdening rescuers and medical staff.

Numerous mountain huts are closing their doors due to the adverse conditions.

Certain hiking trails have become impassable, due to waterlogged soil additional avalanches will occur later, therefore visiting the mountains is an extremely risky endeavour and we discourage it.
