Even the mid-mountain ranges have been blanketed in snow

In the past few days there has been occasional light snowfall in the mountains, but last night the snow line dropped below 1000 meters in places.

In the high mountains there is up to about 20 cm of snow, in the mid-mountain ranges the most snow is in the eastern Karawanks and on Pohorje.



Forecast for the alpine region (ARSO) Tuesday, 11.10.2016 at 6 a.m.

Today it will be cloudy and foggy, with occasional snowfall until evening when precipitation will subside. A moderate wind from easterly directions will blow. Temperature at 1500 m will be around -1, at 2500 m around -7 degrees C.



Tomorrow on Pohorje it will initially be mostly cloudy and foggy, then clearing. Elsewhere partly clear. Mostly moderate wind from northerly directions. Temperature at 1500 m around 2, at 2500 m around -5 degrees C.



On Thursday, after a partly clear and foggy in the lowlands morning, it will cloud over from the southwest. Sleet possible in the morning. On Friday mostly cloudy, occasional rain mainly in the western half of Slovenia, thunderstorms in the afternoon along the coast.
