Yesterday shortly after midnight, a fire broke out in the area of Mrzli vrh above Tolmin. The fire, which is about 2 km long and approximately 300 m wide, currently does not threaten the Lepoč alpine pasture where sour milk and other dairy products are available in summer. Due to inaccessible terrain full of unexploded military ordnance from the First World War, firefighters have not yet managed to extinguish the fire. Today a helicopter is expected to help, which could not take off yesterday from Jože Pučnik Airport due to dense fog.

The Church of the Holy Spirit at Javorca, located northeast of Mrzli vrh, is not in danger (the picture was taken in summer).
