Hanz's Path to Prisank is open again

3.08.2012
Yesterday, 2 August 2012, the technical team of the PZS Commission for Mountain Trails successfully repaired Hanz's Path on Prisojnik. The path is repaired, inspected, safe and open. Safe travels and steady steps!

The Slovenian Army transported the Kranj trail markers to the site on Hanz's Path in Prisojnik. At the lower site, Gorazd Hace and Jožko Benedik repaired the collapsed path, while at the upper site Rudi Lanz, Jernej Mubi and Edo Tomšič replaced and relocated the double-step pitons, drilled new rope anchors and secured the wire ropes up to below the summit of Prisojnik. The most difficult traverse has now been moved further to the left.

"The work was excellently done by the guys, and the weather also served them well," added Branko Jensterle, head of OPP MDO PD Gorenjske.

Hanz's Path was closed since the beginning of September last year, when the path suffered severe damage from a rockfall.

"The path is," PZS Commission for Mountain Trails chairman Igor Mlakar also informed us, "excellently repaired, inspected, safe and officially OPEN."

Safe travels and steady steps!
