Today, precipitation has started to appear in the Julijske Alpe, strengthening and spreading eastward. The snow line will drop from initial 1200m to around 800m. The most precipitation will be in Posočje and the Spodnje Bohinjske gore range, where more than 1m of snow can fall by Friday evening; elsewhere less, but avalanche danger will increase everywhere.
Due to bad weather and increasing avalanche risk, we advise against visiting the high mountains.
