Heavy precipitation at the weekend

Already tonight into Saturday, light precipitation will start on mountain barriers in western Slovenia, strengthening during Saturday and spreading over all of Slovenia. The main precipitation is expected Saturday night to Sunday and Sunday morning and forenoon. The most will fall in upper Posočje, where up to 150 liters per square meter can fall by Sunday evening. Snow line between 1200 and 1600m. Due to the expected large amount of new snow, avalanche danger will greatly increase.
In the prealpine world, torrents, streams and smaller rivers will rise strongly. The risk of landslides will also increase.
