Heavy Rainfall and Noticeable Cooling

A pronounced cold front is approaching Slovenia, which will reach our areas in the evening and at night. Before it, rain will fall mainly in the west and north of the country, but as the front passes, the precipitation will intensify and spread across the entire country. Local thunderstorms with strong wind gusts, heavy downpours, and even hail are possible. After the front passes, a strengthened northerly wind will blow, and the snow line will drop to 1700 m above sea level at the end of the precipitation. In the high mountains, up to 15 cm of snow may fall by Saturday morning.
