Tomorrow a weather front with strong cooling will reach Slovenia. Precipitation, starting first in western Slovenia, will spread over most of the country by morning. Cooling will begin in the morning and snow will fall in most of the country by midday. The heaviest snowfall will be in the western Julian Alps, where locally more than 70 cm can fall, elsewhere around 50 cm, with less on Pohorje. Since a lot of wet snow will also fall in the hills of central Slovenia, branches will break and trees will fall in places. On Notranjska and in higher areas of Primorska, the bora will create snow drifts. Avalanche danger will increase in the mountains. We advise against visiting high mountains in the coming days.
