From today until Sunday 8.2.2009, another around 100cm of new snow may fall in the western Julian Alps. Therefore, the avalanche danger will increase further. Elsewhere less precipitation, but the avalanche danger will still be high.
Due to the high avalanche danger, we advise against visiting the high mountains for the time being, and greater caution is needed elsewhere as well.
