In the high mountains of the Julian Alps there is high avalanche danger (4th degree).
Today it will be cloudy and foggy with precipitation. The snow level will initially be between 1500 and 2000 m above sea level, but in the afternoon it will drop to around 800 m in the Julian Alps and the western Karawanks. It may snow even lower. Initially a strong southwesterly wind will still blow, which will weaken in the afternoon and turn to the northern direction. At 1500 m the temperature will be from 0 to 4, at 2500 m around -2 °C.
Tomorrow it will be cloudy and foggy with precipitation. The snow level will be between 800 and 1200 m above sea level. The wind will be light and of variable direction, but towards evening the northerly wind will strengthen. Temperature at 1500 m around 0, at 2500 m around -5 °C.
