High risk of avalanches 15.1.2013

Due to heavy snowfall in the Julian Alps, the avalanche risk there has increased to level 4 and is high. We also expect spontaneous sliding of medium-sized loose snow avalanches mainly from steeper slopes.

Elsewhere in the mountains, the risk is level 3.
