The last weekend of November will see the best Slovenian sport climbers competing at the 9th Kranj Climbing Days. This three-day competition, the final of the national sport climbing championship, will deliver tense scenes not to be missed. From Friday, 28. 11. 2014, to Sunday, 30. 11. 2014, we can follow our climbers in lead and bouldering as they try to climb as high as possible.
The youngest will tie into the rope already on Friday afternoon, while the others will take turns on the climbing wall from Saturday morning to Sunday evening. It will be especially tense on Saturday and Sunday evening, when the seniors compete in lead. The highlight of the event will surely be the Sunday bouldering final, where athletes will need to engage their brains along with their muscles. Exceptionally difficult boulder problems await them, which they will try to climb in the shortest possible time. The rhythm will be provided by music from DJs and a drummer at the top of the boulder.
A rich accompanying program will also take place, worth seeing even if climbing hasn't convinced you yet. You can watch the documentary film Aljažev stolp, linger at the exotic animals exhibition, check novelties at the stalls, and refresh at Podkrepčevalnica. Children will have fun in the kids' corner, and on Sunday evening, the juggling group Čupakabra will create a magical fiery atmosphere.
