16.07.2022
Yesterday at 14:56, a lightning strike occurred on Mali Triglav, injuring 16 hikers, two of them seriously. Mountain rescuers from GRS Mojstrana, Kranjska Gora, and Rateče, together with the on-duty GRS team at Brnik and the Slovenian police helicopter, were stranded at Kredarica due to fog. The on-duty HNMP team with the Slovenian Army helicopter transported the mountain rescuers as high up the mountain as possible so they could provide assistance to the injured as soon as possible. At 20:30, the LPE helicopter took advantage of the weather improvement and transported two seriously injured hikers to UKC Ljubljana. The other lightly injured will spend the night at Kredarica under the supervision of a doctor. Transport to the valley will be organized in the early morning hours.
