Logging on the Vrčice-Klečpihel-Mirna gora trail

23.08.2025
Mountaineering Club Semič warns of logging and timber skidding taking place in the area of the mountain trail between Vrčicami and Klečpihel below Mirna gora.

In the area of the mountain trail between Vrčicami and Mrzla gora, on the section between Vrčicami and Klečpihel, logging and timber skidding are underway. The part of this section that does not follow the forest road is CLOSED until further notice, but walking along the forest road is possible. Due to logging and timber skidding, we recommend extra caution.

We ask all visitors for understanding, and above all, to strictly follow the safety instructions of forestry workers during logging, skidding, and timber transport.

NOTICE TO MOUNTAIN TRAIL USERS: We recommend that mountain trail users check the actual status of mountain trails in advance on the website stanje-poti.pzs.si, at the nearest mountain hut, or with the local mountaineering club. If you notice damage to mountain trails or their inadequate maintenance (faded markers, overgrowth, etc.), please send a message to poskodbe.poti@pzs.si specifying which mountain trail you observed the deficiency on, describe the deficiency, and if possible, attach a photo.

WARNING: Users use mountain trails at their own risk. Mountain trail users must act self-responsibly and responsibly towards others when using mountain trails so as not to endanger or injure themselves or others. The user is obliged to use the mountain trail in such a way that no damage is caused to it, the land through which it passes, other properties, and the flora and fauna along it. It is prohibited to restrict access to mountain trails or to damage, remove, or destroy markers, signposts, logbooks, safety equipment, and other signs or to use unmarked shortcuts.
