This evening, a weakened cold front will quickly pass over Slovenia. During the front's passage, a strong northerly wind will blow, bringing very cold air. Temperature at 1500m will be between -12 and -15 °C, above 2500m it can drop to -20 °C. Exceptionally low temperatures can also be expected on Thursday morning on plateaus with strong temperature inversion. These plateaus are Komna, Pokljuka and partly Dleskovška Plateau. In these areas, temperatures in some frost pockets can drop to -30 °C. The cold weather will continue until the end of the week.
Due to low temperatures and strong wind in the coming days, we advise against visiting the high mountains.
