Mali Triglav takes two lives in one hour

In two unrelated accidents, two mountaineers died today on Mali Triglav. A Slovenian citizen fatally fell from Mali Triglav into the Snežna konta around 10 a.m., a foreign citizen at the same place an hour later. In both cases, all circumstances indicate an accident in very demanding conditions.

Helicopter support during the intervention was provided today by the crew of the Slovenian Army helicopter, mountain rescuers from Mojstrana and the Mountain Police Unit also participated.

Conditions in the mountains are currently very demanding, paths are covered with snow and ice, so the Kranj Police Directorate is again calling for great caution when visiting the mountains.
