Mountaineer's accident below Kredarica

Today shortly before 14:00, an accident occurred below Kredarica in which a mountaineer was fatally injured. Mountain rescuers intervened, transporting the body to the valley with the help of a Slovenian police helicopter.



The accident happened on the Tominšek Path, leading from Vrata towards Kredarica or Staničev dom. It occurred on a technically demanding section where a 15-year-old mountaineer from Hungary slipped and fell 150 m deep. The victim died at the scene due to severe injuries.
