Mozirska Hut on Golteh is on Fire

On Golteh, not far from the local ski resort, the Mozirska Hut is burning. According to initial reports and photos, the fire has engulfed the entire hut. At 1356 meters above sea level, the hut is particularly difficult to access in winter conditions, making extinguishing practically impossible.



Recently, the hut was thoroughly renovated, fully insulated, and clad with a larch facade. The damage will be great.



The Mozirska Hut on Golteh is the third mountain lodge to have burned down in recent years in the Upper Savinja Valley area. In 2019, the Frischauf Hut on Okrešelj burned down, which is already being renovated, and in 2017, the Kocbek Hut on Korošica.
