The roads in the Kot and Krma valleys are still closed to all traffic, as logging and timber removal are still ongoing in the road areas. It is mostly sanitary logging following last year's summer windstorm. The Municipality of Kranjska Gora has already announced the expected completion date of the works and the opening of the road to traffic.
Forest road to Krma Valley
Forestry works are ongoing in the road area and on the slopes above the road. The contractor estimates that the main part of the timber removal and transport will be completed by 1 August 2024.
Expected road opening date: 1 August 2024.
Kovinarska Hut in Krma will be closed until 1 August 2024 due to inability to supply it.

Forest road to Kot Valley
The main forestry works in Kot Valley are completed. Due to heavy machinery traffic, the road is damaged in several sections, so it remains closed to all traffic. Spring repair of the forest road will be carried out.
Expected road opening date: 1 June 2024.
The hiking trail leading to Kot Valley and further to Rjavina and Triglav is open and normally passable. Dom Valentina Staniča under Triglav will open presumably from 27 June onwards.
