Path through Bistriški vintgar closed until further notice

Due to a forest fire and firefighting efforts, the mountain path through Bistriški vintgar near Slovenska Bistrica is closed until further notice.

Due to intensive firefighting, please avoid the wider area of Bistriški vintgar. Due to the large number of firefighters and other protection and rescue services on steep and forested terrain, the path across the entire vintgar is closed.

The fire has meanwhile been extinguished, but the path remains closed.

NOTICE TO USERS OF MOUNTAIN PATHS: Users of mountain paths are advised to check the actual condition of mountain paths in advance on the website stanje-poti.pzs.si, at a nearby mountain hut or with the local mountaineering association. If you notice damage to mountain paths or their inadequate maintenance (faded markings, overgrowth, etc.), please send a message to poskodbe.poti@pzs.si, stating which mountain path you observed the deficiency on and describing the deficiency, and if possible, also add a photograph.

WARNING: Users use mountain paths at their own risk. Users of mountain paths must act self-responsibly and responsibly towards others when using mountain paths so as not to endanger or injure themselves or others. The user is obliged to use the mountain path in such a way that no damage is caused along it and on and around the land through which it runs and on other real estate and fauna and flora along it. It is prohibited to restrict access to mountain paths and to damage, remove or destroy markings, directional signs, boxes and safety equipment and other signs or to use unmarked shortcuts.
