Are the Karawanks part of the Alps? That was the question in the recent poll.
The correct answer is - yes.
The Karawanks are a mountain range about 120 km long in the Alps, stretching from Italy in the west (starting east of Tarvisio), then along the border ridge between Slovenia and Austria, across part of Styria, and then to the border with Croatia, where they end on the eastern slopes of Macelj.
