Prekmurje boy best mountain runner among older boys this season.

Great success for Jurij Humbel.
In the Cultural Centre Kamnik on Friday, 28 November 2025, at the solemn closing ceremony of Slovenian mountain and trail runs, awards were presented to the best runners of the season.

Among the outstanding young athletes was also Jurij Humbel, who took home the trophy for the best mountain runner in the older boys category.

The young athlete, member of Athletics Club Pomurje, has again shown this season that he belongs among the most promising mountain runners in the country. He competed in four races: won two, took second place in two, which placed him right at the top of his category.

Jurij also excelled in both key disciplines of the season.

• In the up-down discipline he became national champion.
• In the uphill discipline he won the national runner-up title with an exceptional run.
