Relocation of Slovenian bears

Last night (on Tuesday), the last (fifth) bear from Slovenia was successfully relocated to the French Pyrenees. The bears were relocated based on the agreement signed last year by the Slovenian Minister of the Environment and Spatial Planning Janez Podobnik and the French Minister for Ecology and Sustainable Development Nelly Olin. With the relocation, France aims to strengthen the brown bear population in the Pyrenees.
